Insignia Systems, Inc. and Valassis Secure First Sale Resulting from Recently-Formed Strategic Alliance

MINNEAPOLIS--Sept. 6, 2006-- Insignia Systems, Inc. an innovative developer and marketer of in-store promotions, announced today that a $252,000 POPSign contract from a major consumer packaged goods company has resulted from the recent formation of a strategic alliance with Valassis, the leading company in marketing services and Connective Media. This sales and marketing arrangement enables Valassis to sell the Insignia POPSigns product in addition to its diversified product portfolio and gives Insignia POPSigns broader and deeper exposure to The sales and marketing teams from Insignia and Valassis have been working closely together since mid-June. Several training and sales planning sessions were held and active selling started in early July. The level of joint selling activities has been increasing each week and has resulted in several significant contract proposals which are currently pending.
