STAMFORD, Conn., Aug. 9 -- Pitney Bowes Management Services (PBMS), a wholly-owned subsidiary of Pitney Bowes Inc. has been selected by CUNA Mutual Group to help streamline their mailstream operations by providing mail and imaging services for the company's Waverly, Iowa operations. Pitney Bowes will provide inbound mail, document capture and data capture services, including incoming mail receipt, document scanning, Optical Character Recognition (OCR) correction, and document indexing and management. "CUNA Mutual selected Pitney Bowes because of its expertise in managing mail and documents," explained Mary Bates, director, Information Technology, for CUNA Mutual. "Imaging our records enables us to operate more efficiently and effectively, and consolidating our mail and document processing operations will help us realize significant cost savings that will have a positive impact on our bottom line," she added. "Pitney Bowes is honored to be a part of the CUNA Mutual team," stated Vincent De Palma, executive vice president and president, PBMS. "We are particularly excited to provide CUNA Mutual with our Pitney Bowes Mailworks(TM) and document management services, which help businesses improve service, lower costs and minimize risk to their enterprise.
