Flint Group North America Publication Division Announces Price Increases
Press release from the issuing company
Ann Arbor, Michigan (July 5, 2006) - Today, Flint Group North America Publication Division announced price increases for all publication inks, effective July 15, 2006. The price increases range from 8% to 12% depending on product type. These increases are necessary to offset the continuing escalation of raw materials, energy, and freight costs.
"We have taken extraordinary measures to reduce costs within our manufacturing and delivery operations and to ensure a consistent supply of high-quality products to our customers. Since October 1, 2005, however, the North America Publication Division has received over 80 raw material price increases from our global supply base of approximately 30 key suppliers," says Mike Green, vice president - general manager of Flint Group North America Publication Division.
Green emphasizes that Flint Group continues to be committed to delivering high-quality products and services to meet customer needs within the publication ink market. Flint Group representatives will be contacting all customers in the coming weeks to discuss these price increases in detail.
