EDSF Introduces New Executive Director

Press release from the issuing company

ROLLING HILLS ESTATES, Calif. U.S.A (Oct. 23, 2007)--- EDSF, the international, non-profit organization dedicated to the document management and graphic communications industries, announced the appointment of Brenda Kai as executive director. A document-industry veteran, Kai previously was the vice president of marketing for Docucorp International (now Skywire Software) in Dallas, Texas. Kai, who is presently on board with EDSF, will transition into the position when Jeanne Mowlds, the current EDSF executive director, retires at the end of 2007.
Quincy Allen, EDSF chair of the board and president of Xerox's Production Systems Group, said, "Brenda Kai is a valuable addition to EDSF and we're very excited to welcome her. She has been involved with the document business for nearly a decade, and her knowledge of the industry and commitment to excellence will make a strong impact on EDSF's efforts to prepare the next generation of document management and graphic communications professionals."
Jeanne Mowlds, EDSF's current executive director, said, "I am extremely pleased to pass this leadership role to Brenda Kai. Her knowledge of and appreciation for the industry and her enthusiasm to take action makes her an excellent person to lead the Foundation to the next level of growth."
In her new role as EDSF executive director, Kai is charged with the Foundation's administration, governance, industry development and award and scholarship programs. She will also be responsible for strategic planning, marketing and fundraising development, which drives EDSF programs. Kai will report to the EDSF Board of Directors, which consists of top industry leaders and consultants representing various segments of the industry.
"I am excited to join the EDSF team during such an exciting point in the Foundation's growth cycle," said Kai. "I look forward to helping the organization by building more awareness of EDSF programs, reaching out to all segments of the industry, and planning for the future to ensure continued success."
Prior to joining EDSF, Kai was vice president of marketing at Docucorp International, a technology company that delivered customer communication management solutions to the insurance, healthcare, financial services and utilities markets worldwide. At Docucorp, Kai developed and lead the marketing strategy program, transforming Docucorp from a product-driven software company to a leading business-solutions company. Kai also held senior management posts at eCosmetic.com and TIG Insurance Company.
