Taizo Mori Named President, Fuji Photo Film U.S.A., Hiro Sakai to Head Imaging Division

VALHALLA, N.Y.--June 29, 2006-- Fuji Photo Film Co., Ltd. announced today in Tokyo that Taizo Mori has been named President and Chief Executive Officer of Fuji Photo Film U.S.A., Inc. He succeeds Atsushi Yoneda, who will serve as Senior Advisor in order to ensure a smooth transition of business operations. Additionally, Hiro Sakai has been promoted to the position of Senior Executive Vice President and General Manager of Fujifilm USA's Imaging Division, succeeding Hank Hayashi who will serve as Advisor. Mori, who recently transferred to the U.S. from Tokyo, has extensive senior management experience with the company, both in Japan and internationally. His earlier assignments include Fuji Photo Film (China) Investment Co., Ltd., (2001-2004) where he served as President; Corporate Planning Division at Fujifilm Tokyo (1994-2001) where he rose to the position of Deputy General Manager; and Fuji Photo Film B.V. (1982-1993) where he rose to the position of Deputy General Manager of Fujifilm's manufacturing operations in Tilburg, The Netherlands. Before leaving Tokyo earlier this year, he was Corporate Vice President, General Manager of the New Business Development Division. "Atsushi Yoneda has skillfully guided Fujifilm USA through a period of great change," noted Mori. Sakai joined Fujifilm in 1977 and has held various senior level sales and marketing positions for photographic products in Asia, Europe and America. He has served as President and CEO of Fujicolor Processing, Inc., Fujifilm's U.S. wholesale photofinishing company, since 2004. Additionally, he was appointed Senior Vice President, Strategic Planning, for the Imaging Division in 2005. In his new role, Sakai will be responsible for all activities of the Imaging Division in the U.S., including Fujifilm e-Systems, while retaining his position as head of Fujicolor Processing, Inc. Yoneda and Hayashi will return to Japan later this year after the successful transition of leadership.
