Press release from the issuing company
Philadelphia, PA - On Wednesday, June 7, 2006, The Philadelphia Direct Marketing Association held its annual award show; The Benjamin Franklin Awards for Direct Marketing Excellence, otherwise known as the Benny’s. The contest was judged by a panel of eight direct marketing experts who collectively have over a century and a half of direct marketing experience under their belts.
With hundreds of entries and only 28 possible winners, Digital Dimensions3, Inc., a Lyndhurst, NJ digital printer, emerged from the crowd by winning awards for two different categories, including the prestigious Thomas Black Memorial “Best in Show” award.
“It’s especially rewarding when your work is judged by your peers in the direct marketing field and they cite it as being superb. The PDMA is probably the foremost creative group in all of Pennsylvania, and for them to give us “Best in Show” for what is essentially brand new technology, validates our products as being revolutionary,” remarked Harvey Hirsch, President and Creative Director of Digital Dimensions3, Inc.
This unique product has won Best in Direct Marketing from the New Jersey Advertising Club, Best in Category – Digital Printing – Color fro the Graphic Arts Association of Pennsylvania, Best in Direct Mail from the Jersey Shore Advertising and Public Relations Association, Judges Award from the Business Marketing and Advertising Association of NJ, and 2 Showcase Awards from the Association of Graphic Communications of New York.
Digital Dimensions3, Inc. specializes in printing personalized, 3-dimensional direct marketing pieces on-demand. The winning piece, entitled Sea Color in Amazing New Ways, was developed for Superior Printing Inks and consists of a full color envelope printed on metallic paper. On the inside is an origami fish resting between two coral reef folds, with a fish shaped business card and an RSVP card; all of which are fully personalized and printable in minutes. Sea Color in Amazing New Ways was only entered in two categories, for Creative Dimensional Mail and for Business to Business Direct Mail; however, it took home three awards. The “Best in Show” award was a very much welcomed surprise for Harvey Hirsch and Digital Dimensions3, Inc.
“We enter many award shows because we need to get feedback from our peers,” said Hirsch. “This new product, the Personalized Deluxe Origami Fish Mailer has received over nine major awards to date from prestigious industry associations in New York, New Jersey and Pennsylvania.”
