TRUMBULL, Conn.--May 22, 2006-- Oce Imagistics Inc. introduced today the Oce Imagistics im2330 and the im2830 MFPs fully integrated with advanced networking features such as wireless connectivity in addition to powerful printing, scanning, faxing and security capabilities. Ideal for busy workgroup environments, these MFPs are compact and can easily function as tabletop or console devices. The im2330 and the im2830 at 23 and 28 ppm can be loaded with up to 3,700 sheets of paper and utilize a simple touch screen display with one touch scanning and faxing to keep productivity levels at optimum levels. With the newly designed document handler, the devices are able to scan up to 100 sheets at 50 opm and have the ability to perform all their functions simultaneously. Security options provide the flexibility to apply the appropriate security level desired for access and control or to safeguard sensitive information. The im2330 and the im2830 require a minimum outlay on cost placing the purchaser in full command of their investment, while features such as Web-based job and device management equally place the command with the user and IT group.
"The im2330 and the im2830 continue our plan of refreshing the majority of our product line in 2006 and further expand the choices and flexibility our customers demand from us," said John Reilly, vice president, marketing at Oce Imagistics Inc. "Additionally, we know more documents are being created and are remaining in digital form today and our customers are looking to us to solve the accompanying document capture, storage and distribution problems through scanning as well as continue to provide cost effective and manageable ways to print those documents when needed," continued Reilly. "The im2330 and the im2830 represent true multi-tasking solutions for today's busy workgroup environments."
Advanced Connectivity and Versatility
The im2330 and the im2830 can be configured with advanced networking features such as wireless and Bluetooth connectivity in addition to powerful printing, scanning, faxing and security capabilities. The newly designed document handler offers high-speed scanning of up to 100 sheets at 50 opm. One-touch scanning delivers an instant path to stored e-mail addresses and a fast network connection. Web-based job and device management makes it easy for users and administrators to manage jobs and devices on the network whether on one device or many.
Advanced Security for its Compact Size
The im2330 and the im2830 offer a number of options that allow the user to determine the level of security activated in a multi-user environment. Standard proprietary compression technology offers high data security making it impossible to extract information even if the hard drive is removed. The optional Data Overwrite Kit will erase all data stored on the Hard Drive, while the optional Scrambler Board encrypts hard drive data for stored documents offering the next level for businesses dealing with sensitive information. The MFPs support LDAP and Active Directory authentication providing controls over device and user access.
im2330 and im2830 Availability
The im2330 and the im2830 MFPs are currently available and can be fully configured with high capacity input and finishing options, advanced networking features such as wireless and connectivity, printing, scanning and security.
