HP Announces Plans to Expand Yours Truly Designer Software to Adobe InDesign CS2

Press release from the issuing company

FT. MYERS, Fla., May 3, 2006 HP today announced that it is extending the HP Indigo Yours Truly Designer (YTD) variable-data software plug-in to support the Adobe InDesign CS2 platform. The new plug-in, unveiled at the annual Digital Solutions Cooperative (Dscoop) Conference for HP Indigo users, brings YTD’s proven turnkey variable-data and imposition capabilities to the growing number of InDesign users, simplifying the creation of offset-quality, high-impact, personalized print materials for HP Indigo presses. Development of the plug-in, which is expected to become available by the end of 2006, came as a response to requests from HP Indigo customers who are providing feedback to HP through Dscoop, an independent users’ group founded in 2005. “HP Indigo Yours Truly Designer is a very popular tool among our HP Indigo users for creating high impact, personalized marketing material,” said Alon Bar-Shany, vice president and general manager, Indigo division, HP. “Dscoop members have told us how important it is for them to be able to use Yours Truly Designer in an InDesign environment and we’re making it happen.” When released, the new HP Indigo Yours Truly Designer for InDesign will be the first HP Indigo-specific variable-data design utility available for use in both Mac and PC environments. Features in the final version of the new plug-in will offer variable-data document creation and imposition capabilities that are similar or equivalent to the capabilities found in HP Indigo Yours Truly Designer for QuarkXPress.
