Printable Technologies Releases HP YTD Workflow Migration Solution
Press release from the issuing company
SOLANA BEACH, Calif.--April 28, 2006-- Printable Technologies, Inc., the world leader in Web to Print e-commerce workflow and Variable Data Printing solutions, today announced the addition of a YTD Workflow Migration feature to FusionPro Desktop 3.2, the powerful desktop application for sophisticated 1:1 marketing and direct mail. For the first time, HP users have a time-saving VDP workflow migration solution that allows Yours Truly Designer templates to be migrated to cross-platform Adobe PDF-based FusionPro Desktop VDP templates.
HP Indigo press users who are composing variable data documents with HP's Yours Truly Designer product can now use the YTD Workflow Migration functionality in FusionPro Desktop to translate the most commonly used aspects of a YTD template. Users can open Quark-based YTD templates and use the FusionPro Desktop Quark export plug-in to detect YTD variable frames, business logic rules, and data file settings and convert those elements into FusionPro PDF templates.
The FusionPro template can then be composed in FusionPro Desktop offline on either a Macintosh or PC, composed on FusionPro Server, or uploaded as a variable template into FusionPro Web.
Due to the variety of functionality between HP YTD and FusionPro Desktop, there is not a 1-to-1 correlation of features between the two products. The YTD Workflow Migration solution will convert the most common aspects of YTD templates into FusionPro Desktop templates, saving considerable time in the template migration process and eliminating the need to completely redesign the templates.
The YTD Workflow Migration functionality is now available in FusionPro Desktop 3.2; current users receive the functionality at no additional charge.
