Standard Register Launches SMARTworks QuickPrint

Press release from the issuing company

DAYTON, Ohio, April 13 -- Standard Register announces the launch of SMARTworks QuickPrint, a Web-based solution that streamlines document workflow and allows users to configure simple and complex print jobs. Using Standard Register's enterprise print management platform and its national network of Print On Demand (POD) centers, this customer-oriented Web-to-print tool addresses organizations' business printing needs, while helping them better manage quick print spending. Powered by SMARTworks, QuickPrint addresses a variety of business needs. It helps organize and control business-critical documents by printing them on- demand and eliminating inventory and obsolescence. Additionally, built-in approval processes, usage and spend analysis, and pre-defined printing and finishing options help users monitor, control and define print spending decisions within their organizations. "As a trusted partner to our customers, we work toward meeting their business goals," said Brad Cates, vice president of Marketing for Standard Register. "Whether it's providing training manuals for healthcare professionals at a continuing education course or managing the materials a bank needs to stay compliant with government regulations, QuickPrint handles customers' requests quickly, easily and efficiently." People throughout an organization can get what they need, when they need it and where they need it. By accessing the Internet, users have the ability to upload a file from their desktops, configure the document's print specifications, and request a short-run, quick-turn print job from one of Standard Register's POD centers, via SMARTworks. QuickPrint can easily be differentiated from other Web-to-print tools because it is built upon an enterprise print management platform. Additional features include predefined printing templates and page-level detail. QuickPrint templates make the process of creating a complex printing job simpler by minimizing options and providing printing defaults. The page-level detail feature allows a user to create different features on each page while providing accurate pricing. Furthermore, based on customer needs, a "print- and-distribute" or "distribute-and-print" methodology can be utilized. "QuickPrint is another way we can help our customers reduce costs, improve efficiency and grow revenue," said Cates. "As we strive to be the most trusted document services company, we will continue to introduce solutions that meet our customers' evolving needs."
