Vertis Executives Awarded Quality Management Certifications

Press release from the issuing company

BALTIMORE (April 11, 2006) – Vertis announced today that Marlene Wolf and Shannon Hoffman have been named certified managers of quality/organizational excellence by the American Society for Quality. The ASQ-CMQOE certification provides professional acknowledgement of comprehending quality management principles and practices. “ASQ provides certification to formally recognize professionals who have demonstrated an understanding of and commitment to quality techniques and practices in their job and career,” said Daniel M. Duhan, president of ASQ. “This is a great accomplishment and, although not a formal registration or licensure, it provides these professionals with a high level of peer recognition.” Wolf serves as director of quality management and Hoffman is quality assurance manager at Vertis. With ASQ-CMQOE certifications, both women will work with Vertis facilities to guarantee highly proficient quality standards of production. Wolf and Hoffman will act as mentors, collaborating with other quality managers and helping them prepare for their own ASQ certification exam. “This certification is a professional accomplishment that exemplifies Vertis’ commitment in creating quality products,” said George Lane, senior vice president at Vertis. “Marlene and Shannon’s certification ensures the continued improvement and growth of our practices and techniques while maintaining our ultimate goal of customer satisfaction.”
