Presstek Expands Presence in Europe

HUDSON, N.H., Feb. 15 -- Presstek, Inc., a leading manufacturer and marketer of high-tech digital imaging solutions for the graphic arts market, today announced the grand opening of Presstek's new European business center. The new operation, which will serve as the central base of European operations, was established to support the anticipated growth and meet the needs of Presstek's expanding customer base across the region. The European business center will provide a strategic location for Presstek's sales, marketing, technical and logistical activities -- with multilingual support in a more customer-friendly GMT time zone. The facility will provide Europe with extensive support for the company's distribution and direct sales channel, as well as provide service and assistance to European customers and partners. It includes a state-of-the-art demonstration facility and technical assistance center. Expert training on Presstek's DI and CTP line of products is available, as well as a dedicated multilingual support team to respond to customers and marketing partners in their respective languages. Conveniently situated near Heathrow Airport in West Drayton, U.K., the company's European business center will provide a solid foundation for the anticipated growth in sales across the region. Ray Hillhouse, formerly Managing Director of ABDick U.K., has been named European Director of Sales and Marketing, and will be responsible for all direct and indirect selling activities. Hillhouse will focus on expanding pan-European sales operations with regional sales managers supporting dedicated Presstek distributors. The European Technical Support Centre will be headed up by John Bracher, who has recently been appointed to the position of Customer Support and Training Manager for Presstek Europe. In this role John will also be responsible for training. The Presstek Europe operation was formed in March 2005, and now has a professional staff of approximately 90 in place, with more to be added in key areas such as customer support. Technical support for Europe is now centralized and readily accessible to the company's network of dealers and distributors throughout Europe. The facility also serves as a central dispatch center for Presstek systems and spare parts. With this announcement, all sales, service and operational functions have been fully integrated in Europe.
