Oce creates new UK company following acquisition of Imagistics

Brentwood, Essex, January 17, 2006 – Oce NV, a global leader in digital document management and delivery solutions with pro forma annual revenues of €3.1billion, today announced a series of actions to capitalise on the opportunities provided by its recent acquisition of Imagistics International (UK) Ltd. Organisation Océ has established Océ Imagistics (UK) Ltd which combines the Office business of Imagistics International (UK) Ltd, BEC Ltd and Office and Digital Printing Centres (DPCs) business of Océ (UK) Ltd. Jan Dix, a member of the Board of Executive Directors of Océ NV, said: “The establishment of Océ Imagistics will bring the best and broadest product line in the industry to the market with a highly focused sales organisation. With in excess of 100 dedicated sales people supported by a world class service organisation, we are able to focus on opportunities in the networked office, large corporate and public sector Digital Printing Centres, commercial printing and high-speed production printing markets. This is in addition to Océ (UK)’s existing sales efforts in the large format printing and outsourced document process management markets.” The team responsible for integrating Imagistics into the Océ family carefully assessed the market opportunities and identified the optimum organisational structure and leadership. A number of other integration efforts are in progress including rationalisation of IT systems, office locations, financial reporting and back office support. Appointments Bron Curley, previously the Director of Océ (UK) Ltd’s Digital Document Systems (DDS), has been appointed as Managing Director of Océ Imagistics (UK) Ltd. In addition to this new role Curley will retain overall responsibility for Océ Business Services in Océ (UK). He joined Océ in 2002 after a successful career with Xerox in sales and marketing culminating in a period as Managing Director for Xerox, Egypt. Whilst with Océ Curley has led resurgence in the Océ DDS sales organisation with impressive double-digit growth in the development of equipment and software revenues. Adam Sheppard, the previous Managing Director of Imagistics International in the UK, has left the company. Simon Wheeler has taken on additional roles within Océ and is now the Director of Océ's DDS Commercial division, reporting to Nico Kooy, the Managing Director of Océ (UK) Ltd. Wheeler has previously run the high-speed printing business acquired from Siemens. Wilbert Verheyen has taken over from Nick Klitsie as the Business Unit Director of Océ UK’s Wide Format Printing Systems division. Klitsie has become Vice-President, Digital Printing Centre in Océ Imagistics in America. Verheyen was previously President of Océ Display Graphic Systems in the USA and played a major part in integrating this acquisition into Océ. Curley, Wheeler and Verheyen all report to Kooy who is also a Board Director of Océ Imagistics (UK) Ltd. Kooy said: “We have dedicated and committed workforce within Océ UK, which, once again has increased its turnover by a bigger margin than our competitors in terms of equipment sales. Imagistics’ product range and sales force will accelerate this growth in 2006.” He added: “Together, Océ and Imagistics will make a powerful combination, as our companies clearly complement each other. Our customers will benefit from an even more comprehensive product coverage, across all segments, from our new company.”
