Direct Group Installs First Océ JetStream in US Market

Press release from the issuing company

June 2, 2008 – Trumbull, CT– Océ, an international leader in digital document management and delivery, announces that direct marketing powerhouse Direct Group has installed its first Océ JetStream? 2200 full color, high speed inkjet printer, and is already producing sophisticated, large-scale direct marketing campaigns for a major financial services company.

"We are extremely pleased with how smoothly the Océ JetStream system was installed and integrated into our existing workflow," said Direct Group President and CEO Don McKenzie.  "Since its initial runs last week, this 500-feet-per-minute system has met all our expectations for flawless production and quality, enabling us to quickly deliver impressive results for our key clients in financial services and other markets."

Rising postal rates and demand for greater campaign effectiveness are driving major marketers to more highly personalized event-driven mailings that generate significantly greater response rates than traditional direct marketing techniques. The Océ JetStream 2200 system is now helping Direct Group clients take even greater advantage of this opportunity. The revolutionary capabilities of the Océ JetStream system are significantly lowering total campaign costs, including postal and logistics expenses.

"The installation of the Océ JetStream 2200 system went exceptionally well, enabling Direct Group to proceed ahead of schedule with the expansion of its sophisticated personalization platform," said Mal Baboyian, President, Production Printing Systems, Océ North America. "As the first US site for the Océ JetStream technology, Direct Group has demonstrated a keen insight into the changing direction of personalized marketing and the opportunities it presents for its clients. Direct Group customers can now benefit from higher-impact programs by combining our technology with strategic multi-channel communications."

The Océ JetStream family recently expanded with three new models. The groundbreaking series was launched in 2007 with the 492 feet per minute Océ JetStream 1100 single-engine system and the Océ JetStream 2200 twin system. Now these models are joined by the new Océ JetStream 750, Océ JetStream 1500 and Océ JetStream 3000 systems. The series now offers high quality full-color output speeds ranging from 675 to 2,700 A4 impressions per minute, with easy upgradeability throughout the family. The newly expanded Océ JetStream portfolio is positioned to meet customer requirements in terms of color quality, speed and duty cycles.
