GOA and Xplor Emphasize Design, Pre-Press and Variable Data Solutions

Miami Beach, Florida– January 10, 2006–The 31st annual Graphics of the Americas, the second largest U.S.-based annual international graphic communications exhibit and conference and Xplor International, the worldwide electronic document systems association, today announced a expanded emphasis on advertising, creative, design and professionals. Marked by the return of the Adobe Theater to the Miami Beach Convention Center’s exhibit floor in addition to expanded conference curricula aimed at a growing creative professional audience, the combination of the Design City pavilion and Xplor’s Global Document Exchange will provide attendees with a one of a kind combination of product demonstration and relevant education. Graphics of the Americas’ Design City pavilion will once again feature Adobe’s live theater with ongoing product demonstrations from Adobe as well as leaders in color management, variable data printing and online job submission solutions from vendors including Creo, Printable Technology and XMPie. Together with other attractions at Design City and Printer’s Showcase, attendees can witness the latest products and technologies including software, digital imaging, stock photography, digital cameras, fonts and clip art vendors as well as the very best in printed material, pre-press, workflow and proofing systems. Design City is sponsored by Adobe Systems and Create Magazine and will house over 60 exhibitors covering 40,000 square feet of the Miami Beach Convention Center. The pavilion is packaged amongst 1200 booths filled with the latest equipment, products and software introduced in 2006. In conjunction with Graphics of the Americas, Xplor has united the best of breed in educational curricula bringing experts from various user groups, organizations, associations and 3rd party providers who, working closely with Graphics of the Americas and Xplor conference organizers, will provide educational tracks and sessions aimed at the creative, pre-press and printing professional. These include: PDF for Print Production Forum and Tutorials, XML for Print Production Forum, Creative Suite Power Tour, Digital Technologies to Grow Your Bottom Line (conducted in Spanish), as well as seminars from The National Association of PhotoShop Professionals and CIP4 Users Group. Full conference registration to Xplor’s Document conference will also allow attendees into PDF, XML and CIP4 conferences as well. Together, both Graphics of the Americas and Xplor have developed the co-located event for printers, high-volume variable data, creative and IT professionals.
