Roswell, GA – Degrava Systems, LLC a manufacturer of digital printing systems for the converting industry and in-plant printer operators, announced the release of the new Degrava Press designated as DP – 8500 and related family of toner based continuous digital color printers. Designed for commercial digital printing applications, the DP – 8500 Degrava Digital Press provides a cost effective entry point to high quality digital printing. It is the perfect “bridge” solution to owners of traditional presses who want to expand into digital without having to justify the expenditures of large, complicated, high end digital systems. Use of a Degrava DP – 8500 frees up existing larger presses for more profitable long run jobs while opening up or expanding the customer base for profitable Short Run business. Priced under $50,000, the Degrava DP -- 8500 delivers exceptional flexibility by printing variable data on various substrates for labels, tags and forms. This includes advanced RIP and color management technology providing consistent color matching and support for the most popular color scales. The output quality is, in many cases, better than traditional flexography. No color calibration or registration is required. Vibrant and durable color at speeds up to 5 inches per second or 25 feet per minute are produced on 8.5 “ wide format. Because the DP-8500 is digital, there are no plates, so last minute changes can be made eliminating costly mistakes. In addition, the DP-8500 is toner based thereby eliminating messy inks. On-press proofing guarantees the final output will meet the customer’s expectation. The DP-8500 weighs in at just under 400 pounds (180 kg.), sized at 52.5” L x 22” W x 52.5” H (133.4cm x 55.9cm x 133.4cm) and comes with an easily moveable cart. Special power and environmental conditioning are unnecessary because the DP-8500 runs on 120 V/240V – 50-60 Hz. The Degrava DP -- 8500 is simple to use and starts delivering after some very basic training….uncrate, add media, send the file, and you are printing high quality, durable digital images.
