(Menasha, Wisconsin), December 14, 2005 – Banta Literature Management Group, a division of Banta Corporation, won two first-place awards in the Tag and Label Manufacturers Institute’s (TLMI) 28th Annual Awards Competition for labels produced on behalf of Briggs & Stratton Power Products (BSPP). The Tag and Label Manufacturers Institute, the industry’s leading trade association, recognized Banta in the household goods and plateless printing category for its Pressure Washer Replacement Spray Gun label. In addition, Banta took top honors in the flexography -- line and screen/tone -- prime category for its 5550 Watts Generator label. The Replacement Spray Gun label is a four-color process carton label for the Pressure Washer Accessory Kit. Printed on an HP Indigo digital press, it serves as brand recognition for the Pressure Washer Accessory Kit when displayed in the retail market. The 5550 Watts Generator label is a prime, film label with laminate, printed on a Flexo press utilizing UV inks. Both labels maintain the red color of the BSPP parent company logo, Briggs & Stratton. “We are committed to providing our customers with consistent product graphics and performance, and a streamlined workflow through our supply chain integration capabilities,” said Dan Thornton, president of Banta’s Literature Management Group. “The award-winning labels we created for Briggs & Stratton Power Products are a testament to this commitment.” The 28th Annual TLMI Awards Competition is an international competition which honors the finest labels produced by member converters in the North, South and Central Americas, Europe and Australia.
