RICHMOND, B.C., Dec. 2 -- Oce today announced the appointment of Gido van Praag to president and chief executive officer of Oce Display Graphics Systems, Inc. Mr. van Praag assumes the position previously held by Wilbert Verheyen, who has accepted another assignment within Oce. Mr. van Praag came to Oce Display Graphics Systems from Oce-Japan Corporation, where he served as President and Representative Director. Prior to that, he was Director of Sales and Marketing for Oce-Japan. Mr. van Praag has held successive management positions in Oce companies throughout the world including International Marketing Director at Oce Technologies in Venlo, the Netherlands and Managing Director of Oce Singapore. Mr. van Praag also held the position of Sales Executive at Schlumberger Graphics, which was acquired by Oce in 1989. Mr. van Praag holds a Master of Management and Organization degree from Tilburg University in the Netherlands, and served as a Navy Officer in the Royal Netherlands Navy.
