WebCRD Available in French Speaking Countries as RSA Expands Presence in Europe

Press release from the issuing company

Rochester, NY, November 28, 2005 - Rochester Software Associates (RSA) has made available the French version of WebCRD, RSA's powerful easy-to-use browser-based print job submission and production management solution, to French-speaking countries in Europe. Expanding the reach of RSA in Europe, Advanced Communication of France is the newly appointed distributor of WebCRD and additional RSA workflow solutions and will represent RSA's offerings in France, Switzerland, and Belgium. "We are proud to participate in the European expansion of RSA and offer their innovative workflow printing solutions to customers in French speaking territories," said Jean-Marcel Vannieuwenhuyse of Advanced Communication. "We are particularly excited about WebCRD for Web printing submission solution based on Adobe technology, which is localized in French for our customers." WebCRD is distinguished because a single server can support multiple languages, and even multiple variants of a single language. Combined with WebCRD's Approval Authority, a user could submit a job using a French interface and an approver might prefer to review the ticketing request in English. Production operators choose their language of choice as well, all using one server running a single instance of WebCRD. In addition, customers are able to brand their online print job ordering system and can change text anywhere in the application to conform to their existing internal business processes. The first multilingual French/English WebCRD license was purchased by a government print center in Québec, Canada. WebCRD met the customer's language requirements, plus offered essential functionality for online print job ordering, including a PDF-based print workflow, catalog ordering with access control for reprints, real-time LDAP authentication, and full print production management. The fact that WebCRD runs on a Sun platform was another critical selling point for the customer, who has strict IT security standards. Multilingual WebCRD is generating strong interest in Canada and France,” said Dave Vanable, WebCRD Business Development Director. “With the combination of multilingual support and complete application localization, RSA anticipates continued significant business activity in Canada and Europe.”
