Exposize is First Company to Install Second VUTEk PressVu UV 200/600 in Benelux

Press release from the issuing company

Meredith, N.H. (November 21 2005) Dutch large format specialist, Exposize, has recently installed its second VUTEk PressVu UV 200/600, only twelve months after its original PressVu UV 200/600 purchase in October 2004. As the first company in the Benelux region to do this, Exposize’s second PressVu UV 200/600 is enabling the company to meet the growing demand for large format graphics from its portfolio of blue-chip customers. In a recent job for the leading sports apparel manufacturer, Nike, Exposize used both its PressVu UV 200/600s to print promotional graphics and interior decoration for the launch of a new range of women’s footwear, held at the Jimmy Woo Club in Amsterdam. Described as the hottest club in the Netherlands, the Jimmy Woo dance club was transformed by Exposize into a stylized “Nike club,” using the high quality print and productivity benefits of its two rigid and flexible VUTEk printers. Utilizing its PressVu UV 200/600’s 600 dpi printing capabilities, Exposize produced photographic images of Nike products, printed on self-adhesive vinyl and adhered to the tops of five 70 x 70cm tables. Featuring a big Nike logo, Exposize also printed floor graphics onto vinyl, installed on a four-meter square catwalk. Used by models to display the latest Nike products, the catwalk also featured a 5m x 2m printed vinyl backdrop, displaying brightly colored Nike shoes. According to Eric Verkerk, Exposize’s managing director, the Nike printed graphics were considered a huge success. “You can print on so many different materials using the PressVu UV, that for jobs like the Nike project, we can not only meet customer expectations, but very often offer solutions and opportunities that they didn’t know were possible.” Nike’s closely controlled corporate identity meant that consistency of color was vital for the job, as was ensuring that the Exposize graphics matched all of Nike’s other marketing materials. Verkerk continues, “The production flexibility and high print quality of the PressVu UV 200/600s made them ideal for this job. They enabled us to match the intense color and sharp text reproduction of the Nike designs, while still being sympathetic to the clubs established interior decoration. The customer was very pleased.” Reflecting on his decision to purchase the second VUTEk printer, Verkerk comments, “Having enjoyed tremendous success with our first PressVu UV 200/600, we quickly recognized the opportunity to maximize our market potential by installing another machine. Purchasing a second PressVu UV 200/600 from VUTEk seemed an obvious choice.” Exposize was established in 1999 by Eric Verkerk, and now employs 18 people from its premises in Eindhoven and Hoofddorp. The company offers a full range of rigid and flexible large format applications, including vehicle wraps, billboards, building wraps, posters, panels, P-O-P graphics and banners. Verkerk concludes, “We print everything from ceiling tiles to floor carpets, for installation in museums, retail, trade and all public buildings. As such, we are a unique company in the Benelux market, and our PressVu UV 200/600s enable us to serve almost every type of customer and large format application. With our two VUTEk printers, we have a huge competitive advantage, and expect continued success in the future.”
