Boston Print Buyers To Present Taking On Color Management

Press release from the issuing company

Boston, Massachusetts - November 9, 2005 - Boston Print Buyers will host a December 6th dinner program that focuses on one of today’s most sought-after topics among print customers. “Taking on Color Management” will be presented by dinner sponsor Sandy Alexander, Inc., at the Millennium Bostonian Hotel in Boston's Faneuil Hall Marketplace district. The program runs from 6 to 8:30 pm. Preregistration is required. Since the first digital file was created, color management has been an ongoing issue between printers and their customers. This Boston Print Buyers program will explore attendees' individual issues on the subject. Print buyers and designers who have spent hours color correcting their files – only to send them to the printer and get back proofs that don’t come close to matching their expectations – will learn what a color-managed workflow looks like, and why print customers are working in the dark without one. Attendees should be prepared to discuss their most pesky color problem at dinner, and to bring samples. In addition, the speakers will also address the benefits of virtual proofing in a color-managed workflow. Event Sponsor The event is being sponsored by Sandy Alexander, Inc., a full-service graphic communications firm with principal facilities in NJ and FL, plus satellite offices throughout the US. The speaker will be Mike Graff. Mike Graff is a Senior Executive Vice President and a principal with Sandy Alexander, Inc. His responsibilities include new business development, major account supervision, electronic prep services and exploring new technologies. He has been with Sandy for 15 years. Mike graduated from Rochester Institute of Technology and has 25+ years' experience in the graphic arts.
