Press release from the issuing company

Henrietta, NY — Direct Group (DG), a leading provider in the premium high-volume, time-sensitive segment of the direct mail industry, has added Lake Image Systems’ IntegraVision and IntegraJet systems for document matching and in-line envelope personalization on their new high speed mail inserting equipment for its new Direct Matchsm mail matching capability. IntegraVision ensures matching of multiple personalized pieces as they are inserted into closed-face envelopes on high-speed mail processing equipment. IntegraJet then personalizes the envelopes with matching variable addresses and personalized messages. “Our ability to automatically ensure matching of personalized mail pieces to envelopes enables us to increase throughput of our highly personalized, complex mailings and increase the value proposition for our clients,” said Ray Clemmer, senior vice president and general manager of Direct Group’s Swedesboro Direct Mail production facility. “Lake Image Systems’ experience and unique solutions provided a quick transition to our new production environment. Only they met our demanding schedule with a product that’s tried and proven in the industry.” With the ability to insert match and personalize pieces in excess of 15,000 pieces per hour, per inserter, Direct Group will ensure the integrity of private information while establishing new production records in their direct mail operations. At its two main production facilities located in New Jersey, Direct Group prints, personalizes, assembles, affixes cards, inserts, commingles and mails on average more than five million pieces of mail every day of the year. The company can produce more than two billion pieces of mail annually. To keep pace with the needs of its world-class customers, Direct Group has more than doubled the size of its largest direct mail production facility, located on Route 322 in Swedesboro, N.J., from 167,000 square feet to 417,000 square feet, doubling the number of printing presses and restructuring the layout to greatly speed workflow from concept through mail.
