Ricoh Corporation Enhances Wide Format Line With Introduction of the Ricoh 480W

WEST CALDWELL, N.J., Nov. 1 -- Ricoh Corporation, the leading provider of digital office equipment, today introduced the Ricoh 480W, a versatile wide format multifunction product. The Ricoh 480W offers users unsurpassed productivity, simplicity and advanced technology, making it a desirable option for any wide format user. The industry trend of merging hardware and software solutions into one powerful system can be seen in the Ricoh 480W. The 480W comes with a document server that electronically stores originals for on-demand reprinting. The embedded scan option provides direct scan capabilities to email or folder from the copier as well as utility software to expand remote system management. With the addition of the RW-480 Printer Controller and Scan option, the Ricoh 480W places a complete wide format digital system right at users' fingertips. By integrating the RW-480 Controller's Plotbase, Plotclient and Scantool software, the Ricoh 480W provides advanced scanning, printing and account tracking capabilities - an all-in-one solution. Additionally, the controller's ability to easily scan, view, edit and merge images as well as print saves time for the user, especially for those involved in computer-aided design (CAD). Documents can also be network-printed from a variety of CAD applications and operating systems, including Windows, MAC and UNIX.
