Graphics of the Americas Expands Focus for Creative Professionals

Miami Beach, Florida– October 11, 2005 -- Graphics of the Americas, the second largest U.S.-based annual international graphic communications exhibit and conference, today announced significant expansion to their Design City Pavilion, a highly-trafficked exhibition area and magnet for over 5,000 creative professionals that attend Graphics of the Americas annually. In addition, Printer’s Showcase, an attraction frequented by buyers, designers and print specifiers will be located adjacent to Design City, covering over 40,000 square feet of the Miami Beach Convention Center. Together the two featured areas will provide advertising art directors, graphic designers, marketing professionals and printers with an opportunity to experience the latest products and technologies from software, digital imaging, stock photography, digital cameras, fonts and clip art vendors as well as the very best in printing, pre-press, workflow and proofing systems. Design City is sponsored by Adobe Systems and Create Magazine and will house over 60 exhibitors including Adobe’s ongoing theater presentations that constantly draw strong audience. “Graphics of the Americas is one of the few exhibitions that attract such a strong following from the international creative community,” said Chris Price, vice president and general manager of Graphics of the Americas. “In fact, over 25% of our overall attendance comes to Graphics of the Americas specifically to see design-related software, technology and pre-press solutions.” This year, Graphics of the Americas is proud to host the following exhibitors at Design City: Ad Graphics, Inc., Adobe Systems, Case Papers, Count Machinery, Cygnus Business Media, Digital Technology Group, Fanapel Celulosa Argentina, Finite Matters, Graphicauthority.com, Hash, Inc., ImageDJ Corp., Impuls ID Systems, In-Motion Imaging, International Paper, Magnetic Specialty, Magnum Magnetics Corp., Midwest Photo Exchange, Morgan Price Co., Multicolor Graphics, National Association of Photoshop Professionals, One Step Papers, Pedro Ramirez Paper Agency, Perfect Proof, Printer Presence by Digital IMS, Quark, Inc., RipIt Computer Corp., Smart Papers, SUPACAM, UILMAC, Unique Photo and Xinet with more to be announced over the coming months. For 2006, Design City will be located at the front entrance in hall D of the Miami Beach Convention Center. The pavilion alone is expected to bring in over 5,000 creative professionals, 69% that represent management, art directors and graphic designers and 37% from companies with 10-99 employees and 16% with 100-plus employees. Overall, Graphics of the Americas, with the addition of Xplor’s Global Document Exchange Conference is expected to draw over 23,000 attendees, over 500 exhibitors, occupying over 500,000 square feet of exhibit space.
