Xitron Appoints New Marketing Director & Product Manager Continued focus on improving product and marketing support

Ann Arbor, Michigan – October 10, 2005 – Xitron, the prepress industry's leading independent developer and integrator of Raster Image Processors, RIP management software and workflow solutions; announced today the appointment of Bill Owens to the position of Director of Marketing and Eric Nelsen to Product Manager, Navigator Solutions.
Bill joined Xitron in 2003 as Product Manager, Navigator Solutions and took on additional marketing duties in June of this year. “Bill led the team assigned to create and implement Xitron’s new image before PRINT 05,” stated Jim Thrush, President of Xitron. “Our increased emphasis on providing quality product and marketing support to our dealers and customers helped us realize that one individual could not devote the time needed to both product management and marketing. As a result, we are pleased to announce the appointment of Bill to the newly created position of Director of Marketing.”
Bill has more than 30 years experience in the printing industry and holds a Bachelor of Science in Printing Technology degree. Prior to joining Xitron he held marketing positions with Varityper, PrePress Solutions and X-Rite.
Replacing Bill as Product Manager, Navigator Solutions is Eric Nelsen. Eric began with Xitron in 2004 as a Support Specialist. Prior to joining Xitron, Eric held product development, support, and integration positions with several industry suppliers. “Eric’s strong technical background is an immediate asset to our product management team,” stated R. Patrick French, Vice President Sales & Marketing for Xitron. “His years of experience assisting customers with their production give him an excellent perspective for directing the Navigator product line, especially our newly announced Navigator GPS.”
