Enovation Brings Latest in Digital Printing To Indianapolis' DCG

Press release from the issuing company

VALHALLA, N.Y. (Sept. 23, 2005) – Working closely with experts from Enovation Graphic Systems, Inc., Indianapolis’ DCG: Digital Color Graphics (DCG) is bringing the latest in digital printing capabilities to Indianapolis and will be installing an EFI Fiery-driven Xerox iGen3 digital production press. DCG will continue to partner with the distributor to serve as a showcase center for other customers considering implementing digital printing and wanting to get a closer look at the iGen3. The Xerox iGen3 will be accompanied by the Fiery Q5000 color server from EFI. The purchase of the new equipment represents new capabilities and opportunities for DCG, including an opportunity to be a showcase location in the Midwest for Enovation, Xerox and EFI. “We’re aggressively looking at the future and continually finding new ways to bring innovation to our clients,” explains Chris Hutson, president of DCG. Hutson purchased DCG three years ago, taking on the challenge of maintaining the most recent technology in an arena of constant upgrading. With partner Rob McBride, Hutson is committed to reinventing the company, and both he and McBride are further developing new levels of technological capabilities to remain on the cutting edge. “Our choice of the Fiery-driven iGen supports DCG’s dedication to customer services and innovative technology,” says McBride, who also acts as the company’s technology director. “This extremely high-performance system addresses our need to provide increasingly shorter lead times for producing complex, color documents. Tabs, mixed media, VDP – we can now do it all at up to 110 pages per minute. “With more than a year spent researching this technological advance, we’re uniquely able to give insights to other printers who may be considering an upgrade,” adds McBride. “In many ways, we’re a technology company that happens to do printing. That’s what makes us different.” “Having DCG as an additional site our customers can visit is important for Enovation,” said Phil Kane, vice president of digital printing for Enovation. “We strive to make sure our customers are informed and well educated about their business options as well as about the technologies they should be investing in.” “Enovation has been a terrific partner for EFI – DCG’s deployment of the Q-Series Fiery exemplifies the success we’ve achieved together,” said Fred Rosenzweig, EFI president. “The Fiery Q5000 is named for the quantum leap in power delivered to mission-critical/high demand production printing environments such as DCG’s. The Fiery provides incomparable image quality and speed for producing complex documents on the iGen – including variable data print jobs, so DCG is able to offer immediate, high-quality one-to-one marketing services to their customers.” “We are excited that DCG has chosen to continue their growth with Xerox DocuColor iGen3 Digital Press, said Greg Stewart, vice president of channels, partners, and business development for Xerox’s North American Graphic Communications organization. “DCG is an innovative technology and communication company, who has shown excellence in variable data solutions and color digital printing. We look forward to working with them, EFI and Enovation to expand the profits color digital printing solutions bring to businesses.” For more information, please visit www.enovationgraphics.com or www.getitfromtheexperts.com, or www.dcgindy.biz.
