Press release from the issuing company

Chicago, Ill (Print '05 – Booth #7900) – September 9, 2005 – Agfa today announced the expansion of the softproofing capabilities in :Delano. The new softproofing functionality allows for online file submission and page approval. The StreamProof option and possibility for upgrading to :Delano Publish or Production, Agfa's complete web-based production management systems, offer a growth path for any ambitious organization. :Delano with the added softproofing functionality is expected to be available in the fourth quarter of 2005 and runs on version 2.5 of :ApogeeX or higher. ":Delano will be able to offer another level of integration to allow the soft proofing functionality," said Agfa's Deborah Hutcheson, senior marketing manager, Digital Solutions, North America. "The StreamProof option offers fast high resolution viewing and an extensive toolset for interactive annotations. This improves the customer experience and improves the printer's bottom line." :Delano's new softproofing functionality gives users the immediate ability to improve overall job approval efficiency and their collaborative experience with their customers. With StreamProof, they can see the high resolution data and make annotations remotely, far faster than typical softproofing solutions. For added convenience, :Delano offers users FTP a "print buyer-view" for upload and approval. Additionally, it lays the ground work to start implementing more efficiency in the file submission and prep aspects of the print shop, thereby increasing profitability.
