Developed by leading industry vendors, these solutions dramatically increase the functionality of HP Indigo workflows to create new opportunities for commercial printers. “Being able to achieve the industry’s highest print quality isn’t enough. And we’re always looking to work with third-party vendors to enhance our product offerings whenever possible.” Software solutions at PRINT 05 are being demonstrated in a variety of HP Indigo production environments, including: •HP Indigo 3D Lenticular Application: Powered by HumanEyes 3D software, this affordable solution is designed for the creation and production of 3D and all other special lenticular effects (such as flip, morph and animation), from source to print. Customized for the HP Indigo s2000 digital press, it is ideal for printers looking to offer higher-profit specialty direct mail, packaging, promotional material and other items. •Pageflex Storefront: This web-to-print solution enables the definition, auto-generation and management of attractive Internet sites for collateral management, document customization, brand management and e-commerce. Storefront now offers JDF integration with HP Indigo Production Manager resulting in more efficient workflows. •Impostrip + HP Edition: Designed for digital workflow applications, including web-to-print and label production, the Impostrip + HP Edition from Ultimate Technographics is a full-featured client-server imposition solution that automates print-on-production specification setup for paper size, bleed control, binding and trim size, while saving production time by allowing templates to be reused for other jobs. The Impostrip + HP edition is highly optimized for HP Indigo presses, supporting the proprietary imposition format of HP Indigo presses. Impostrip Proof software enables companies operating in hybrid offset and HP Indigo digital environments to “de-impose” their offset jobs and efficiently create cost-effective final proofs on HP Indigo presses. •GretagMacbeth ProfileMaker 5 Publish and ProfileMaker 5 Publish Plus: HP has selected these products as the color management software of choice for the HP Indigo press 5000. Using ProfileMaker gives customers the ability to proof printed results on inkjet printers, easily switch jobs from one Indigo press to another with verifiable color accuracy and consistency, and match other printing processes, such as gravure and flexo. These software packages from GretagMacbeth provide the ability to profile monitors and scanners, as well as RGB, CMYK and Hexachrome output devices, in order to have a completely color-managed and ICC-based production workflow. •SpeedFlow: This PDF workflow solution from OneVision features such workflow tools as automated color management, preflight, imposition, normalization and other automated controls. OneVision’s customers include leading newspaper and magazine publishers, commercial and digital printers, prepress companies, advertising agencies, and industrial enterprises. •Odystar: Artwork Systems’ completely integrated solution for PDF creation and production gives new life to legacy RIPs and workflow systems, effectively transforming them into PDF 1.5-compliant devices. Simple to use, Odystar boosts operator efficiency and increases flexibility and productivity in pre-press production environments. •Pixami: This web-based ordering system is designed for photo-related templates and online design of books, greeting cards and calendars, and output optimized PDF files for HP Indigo presses.
