Pictorial Offset Corporation Wins International Award for Excellence

Press release from the issuing company

Carlstadt, NJ, August 30, 2005 - Pictorial Offset Corporation recently won an Award of Excellence in the Commercial Printing (4-color process or higher) – Multi-component category of the 2005 Print Excellence And Knowledge (PEAK) competition. The PEAK Awards are sponsored by Print Solutions Magazine, which is published by the Document Management Industries Association (DMIA), Alexandria, VA. The awards will be presented at DMIA’s annual Print Solutions Conference and Exposition, a national tradeshow held this year on October 18 – 20 in Orlando, Florida. The contest, which drew more than 200 entries from North America and Europe, recognizes the work for firms that stress adding value to the print-related products and services they provide customers. Pictorial Offset was acknowledged specifically for the work that it performed for a leading insurance and investment firm for a brochure on Retirement Income Strategies. The job was produced in open collaboration with the client at the very early stages of design approval. Options were presented for the stepped horizontal and vertical die cutting, the brochure fastener, the binding, the duo-tones, the film lamination, the spot UV coating on the cover and the fact that we ran the job at 45 degrees to the sheet to minimize the possibility of ghosting. According to Donald Samuels, Managing Partner of Pictorial Offset Company, “Projects of this complexity don’t come along often. When they do, a consultative channel of communication with the client early in the project is not only time well spent – it is critical to ensure a successful outcome.” Pictorial Offset Corporation is a world-class, “Design to Destination” graphic enterprise specializing in high-quality sheetfed, half-web and web printing as well as high-end color retouching, prepress, post-press, mailing and distribution services. Pictorial provides a full range of integrated graphics solutions to meet the needs of quality-conscious Fortune 500 companies. “At Pictorial Offset, we never forget that #1 motivation for us is the satisfaction of our clients. We are honored to be recognized by Print Solutions Magazine, the DMIA and the PEAK Award judges”, Samuels continues. “Many printers claim to have comprehensive solutions for their customers, but we at Pictorial have repeatedly been acknowledged and verified by national and international experts and judges to be one of the best. This PEAK Award again confirms and exhibits our commitment to our customers.” “Winning a PEAK Award signifies a sharp focus on solving customer problems or improving a customer’s business,” says Peter Colaianni, CAE, DMIA’s executive vice president. “PEAK Awards are won by companies that add value to the products they sell.”
