VUTEk Exhibits its Most Popular UV-Curing Flatbed Printer
Press release from the issuing company
VUTEk, a division of EFI, is exhibiting the most versatile UV-curing printer available today at VISCOM France 2005 (Paris, 14-16 September). Starting at only €199,000, VUTEk's popular PressVu UV 200/600 UV-curing flatbed and roll-to-roll printer is designed specifically for digital imaging shops looking to achieve high-end image quality and greater productivity at an affordable cost.
The PressVu UV 200/600 digital inkjet printer is loaded with features you would expect to find on more expensive models – like stunning four- or six-color, 600 dpi capabilities that deliver photographic color reproduction and crisp text reproduction. Its virtually limitless versatility and industrial-strength construction allow operators to print on a variety of sheet-fed or roll-to-roll materials around the clock. Because it is like having two-printers-in-one, owners should be able to expand their customer service capabilities and satisfy a wider variety of long-term outdoor and indoor application needs.
The PressVu UV 200/600 printer uses durable UV-curing inks that can be applied directly on both flexible and rigid substrates, so the time and expense of finishing steps such as mounting and lamination are eliminated. The switch between roll-to-roll and rigid materials has also been streamlined to be quick and easy. Set-up can be completed by a single person, so operators spend less time preparing and more time producing profitable output.
Available in four-color, six-color and four-color white+ models, the PressVu UV 200/600 can print up to two meters (80 inches) wide at up to 33 square meters (350 square feet) per hour, and prints on rigid materials up to 4.45 centimeters (1.75 inches) thick. Color gradients are smooth in the printer's six-color/600 dpi mode, and the accurate and easily repeatable matching of target colors is now possible for commercial imagers.
The high-end image quality and versatility of the printer enables owners to expand their services and satisfy a nearly infinite variety of long-term outdoor and indoor applications — increasing value to customers and driving up profitability.
