X-Rite Premium ICC Color Profiles Selected by Wacom to Ship with Cintiq 21UX
Press release from the issuing company
GRANDVILLE, Mich.--Aug. 31, 2005-- X-Rite today announced that its premium ICC profiles have been selected by Wacom to be bundled with each of its Cintiq 21UX interactive pen displays. An ICC profile is a standard for specifying the attributes of imaging devices such as digital cameras, scanners, displays, and printers so that the color of an image remains true from source to destination. X-Rite's advanced ICC profile technology is quickly becoming the preferred solution for producing the most accurate, consistent color results, which are critical to designers, photographers and artists.
"After careful review of profiles generated from other solutions for our flagship Cintiq product line, we were impressed with profiles generated by X-Rite's MonacoOPTIXXR color management software," said Scott Rawlings, Wacom's V.P. of Marketing. "The ease of the profiling process for LCD displays and the quality of the final results made MonacoOPTIXXR the right fit."
"X-Rite's premium ICC profiles are quickly becoming the new industry standard for graphic arts professionals who need consistent high quality color from design to print," said Tom Dlugos, X-Rite's Director of Sales, Imaging Products. "We are thrilled that Wacom has selected X-Rite's color innovation for their advanced interactive pen display technology. We look forward to working with Wacom to support their product portfolio."
In addition to ICC premium profiles, X-Rite will include a special offer on its award winning X-Rite MonacoOPTIXXR solution, designed to deliver the widest, most dynamic range of color data precision for LCD displays. Customers can now take advantage of the offer by logging onto www.xrite.com/promotion/cintiq or by calling 1.800.922.9348.
