Fujifilm's "Forest Forever" Wins Awards

TORONTO – August 2, 2005 -- In keeping with Fujifilm’s strong commitment to worldwide conservation, Fuji Graphic Systems Canada Inc. announced Fujifilm’s “Forest Forever” website (http://www.forests-forever.com) has won four major communications awards in Japan, Great Britain, and the United States including this year’s Communication Arts Magazine’s Interactive Design Annual award. The website was first launched in April 2004 by Fujifilm in attempt to increase public awareness of the vital roles of forests in our environment and a number of issues they are facing in various parts of the world. With breathtaking photographs of distinct forests in the world, new contents are introduced every two months. Up to this point eight forests including Yakushima’s evergreen wetland, California’s old growth forest, and Canada’s beautiful Laurentian forests have been introduced in this beautifully designed website. The exquisiteness of the photographs and informative contents has awarded the proud web site creators the following four prizes: 1. Communication Arts – Interactive Design Annual (USA) 2. Design and Art Direction Prize /“Yellow Pencil” (UK) 3. 58th Dentsu Advertising Award - (Japan) 4. Tokyo Interactive Ad Award (Japan)
