Cierant Corporation To Merge Operations With Strategic Content Imaging

August 3, 2005: Cierant Corporation, a Connecticut-based developer of web-based, cross-media marketing applications, announced that it has entered into an agreement to merge its operations with Strategic Content Imaging (SCI), a full-service digital printing, fulfillment and distribution company located in Carlstadt, New Jersey. The integration of Cierant’s leading-edge Web-based applications for customer and partner relationship management, interactive marketing and channel support, as well as Cierant’s professional and creative services skills, extend SCI’s capabilities in the delivery of strategic business communications services to its global enterprise customer base. Simultaneously, the merger provides Cierant with access to additional financial and human resources to sustain ongoing development while dramatically enhancing the company’s sales and marketing capabilities.
Cierant applications address a growing market demand for personalized and localized multichannel marketing services (print, online, e-mail, etc) that support complex sales channels and geographically-dispersed sales teams. The company’s current product line includes Web-based applications for the customization and delivery of print and e-mail communications, online surveys and e-commerce, as well as tools for automating the development of sales proposals and price quotations. Strategic Content Imaging is a leading supplier in digital pre-press and printing technologies, variable data printing, database marketing and personalized communications. The combined organization will offer unsurpassed breath of services in targeted, personalized communications through both traditional and online channels, and across a wide range of industries including financial services, manufacturing and distribution, franchise operations, healthcare, publishing and academia.

Specific terms of the agreement have not been disclosed, however, SCI expects to maintain the Cierant brand within SCI. Cierant will maintain its operations in New Milford, CT.
