Press release from the issuing company

WEST CALDWELL, N.J., July 28 -- Ricoh Corporation, the leading provider of digital office equipment, today introduced the Aficio CL7200 and the Aficio CL7300, an advanced color printer series ideal for users seeking advanced functionality, superb quality, and state-of-the-art security features. These devices offer users affordable productivity, by utilizing fewer resources, and high volume options normally available only on higher cost products. The Aficio CL7200 and Aficio CL7300 combine the most desirable printer functions, allowing the end user maximum control. The systems support multiple print languages, including Adobe PS3, PCL 5c, PCL 6, and RPCS, catering to users' specific needs while allowing maximum driver flexibility. Extending beyond traditional connectivity, the devices offer not only Ethernet and USB, but wireless and Gigabit Ethernet as well. Custom configuration capabilities allow users to customize paper handling designs to best suit their needs, offering finishing options including a booklet finisher, hole punch and stapling, all with a paper capacity of up to 3,100 sheets. Maximizing productivity time, the systems achieve exceptional speeds of 28 pages per minutes (ppm) color and 32 ppm black and white for the Aficio CL7200 and an even more aggressive 35 ppm color and 35 ppm black and white for the CL7300. Additionally, users avoid productivity drop-off when printing double- sided documents because these speeds are maintained in duplex mode. With the increasing threat of information theft, the Aficio CL7200 and Aficio CL7300 Series allow users advanced security features including SmartDeviceMonitor, a program that enables the encryption of data via Internet Printing Protocol (IPP) with technology that prevents outside attempts to access sensitive or proprietary information. "Ricoh's Aficio CL7200 and the Aficio CL7300 Series color laser printers are innovative and easy-to-use devices created with the end user in mind, allowing maximum productivity with fewer resources, making color printing options more affordable," said Hede Nonaka, vice president of marketing, Ricoh Corporation. "As businesses continue to realize the benefits of next generation color devices, from both a functionality and affordability stand point, we expect the adoption of this technology to continue to grow on a wide-spread basis." Additionally, the Aficio CL7200 and the Aficio CL7300 Series are expandable with the addition of the IS300 Image Scanner that provides scan-to- email; scan-to-folder, scan-to-FTP, TWAIN scanning, and scan-to-print capabilities.
