EFI To Embed Sunopsis Integration Suite In Its Print Management Systems
Press release from the issuing company
BURLINGTON, Mass. – July 26, 2005 – Sunopsis, Inc., a technology innovator in the application and data integration market, today announced that EFI, the world leader in digital imaging and print management solutions for commercial and enterprise printing, will incorporate the Sunopsis data integration platform across its print management software (MIS) product lines.
Licensed under an OEM agreement, the Sunopsis Integration Suite will be embedded with EFI's MIS software solutions to further enhance the productivity benefits provided by its print management software.
“EFI is constantly enhancing our MIS software line and adding new components that enable customers to connect all of the pieces of their printing processes in order to gain efficiencies in managing their businesses,” said Marc Olin, EFI's Vice President of Commercial Print Applications. “Real-time data exchanges between the different components of our system are increasingly critical. We chose the Sunopsis data integration solution because of its real-time capabilities, embeddable processes, and aggressive pricing model.”
With the Sunopsis solution, EFI benefits from the ability to not only pre-package and automatically deploy data integration processes for its customers, but also to easily implement these processes for customers who have extensively customized the MIS system – for example with database schema extensions.
“Software companies need to focus on their core technology,” said Yves de Montcheuil, Director of Product Marketing at Sunopsis. “In today's highly competitive environment, reducing time to market and the cost of development is key. By using an embeddable solution to implement data integration processes, EFI is able to achieve both. We are proud that EFI has joined the ranks of our Sunopsis OEM partners and look forward to a continued and mutually successful relationship.”
Licensed under an OEM agreement, the Sunopsis Integration Suite helps software vendors to develop and deploy the data movement and synchronization processes needed by their applications – between the different components of the applications as well as between these applications and the outside world. The data integration processes are fully embeddable into the OEM partner's own applications and are deployed as a part of these applications, without the need for additional hardware.
Fully written in Java, the Sunopsis suite runs on any platform and offers a very low footprint in production. Its ease of implementation and use does not distract R&D and Professional Services teams from their core mission. The suite is able to address batch and real-time, as well as synchronous and asynchronous integration needs, and is able to manage large data volumes and a long list of data sources and targets. With a very aggressive OEM licensing model, the Sunopsis Integration Suite provides an unmatched price/performance ratio.
