ARTFIX uses VUTEk printers for Brazil’s largest vehicle wrap project ever

Press release from the issuing company

ARTFIX of Sao Paulo, Brazil recently completed the biggest vehicle wrap job ever awarded in Brazil. The company used its VUTEk UltraVu 3360FC and UltraVu 2360FC printers to produce over 18,000 m2 of graphics to fully wrap 1200 vehicles for the Brazilian beverage giant, AmBev. Roberto Valentim, commercial director, ARTFIX commented, “AmBev approached us because of our vast experience with vehicle wrap technologies and the quality of output provided by our VUTEk printers. We have a designated area in our plant for the installation of vehicle wraps, and have specially developed vinyl substrates that feed both quickly and easily into our printers. As a result, we are able to produce consistently stunning, high-resolution graphics that are colorful, vibrant and create a lasting impression.” ARTFIX printed directly onto adhesive vinyl to produce over 15 m2 of graphics for each vehicle wrap. The high-speed productivity benefits of VUTEk printers enabled ARTFIX to produce up to 35 wraps a day. With strict AmBev corporate identity guidelines to follow, it was imperative that ARTFIX produce graphics that matched the company’s corporate colors exactly and were consistent from section to section. It was equally important that the vehicle wraps withstand a wide range of weather conditions, especially high temperatures and humidity. “We knew the printed graphics needed to look as good as new for as long as possible,” stated Roberto, “and that both our VUTEk printers would produce consistent, 360 dpi resolution graphics suitable for both close-up and long distance viewing. We used VUTEk’s substrate compatibility program to help us match the ideal ink and substrate combination for this application. Combined with the speed of the printers, we provided AmBev with the quality, durability and turnaround they required. We fully understood the scale of the task at hand, and were confident that we could complete the job on time and on-spec.” AmBev is the largest beverage company in Latin America and its products include soft drinks, isotonic drinks, tea, water and beer. AmBev is part of InBev, which controls close to 14% of the world beer market share. Since it was established in 1992, ARTFIX has been considered one of Brazil’s leading large format printers. Employing over 200 people, screenprinting still remains ARTFIX’s main business focus, but its VUTEk printing capability attracts prestigious clients from around the world. Servicing more than 60 advertising agencies, including J Walter Thomson and McCann-Erickson, ARTFIX has produced promotional graphics for internationally-recognized household names such as Haägen-Dazs and Nestlé. Roberto concluded, “VUTEk provides market-leading products, technology and services, enabling us to take advantage of all digital large format opportunities in the Brazilian market.”
