Islandia, New York, July 25, 2005—Van Son Holland Ink Corporation, a leading global printing ink manufacturer known around the world for producing high quality, high performance inks for every type of offset press, will host its 4th annual “VS” Series Ink Council meeting September 9th and 10th at the Eaglewood Conference Resort in Itasca, Illinois. The “VS” Series Van Son Ink Council is comprised of Printing Ink Manufacturers strategically positioned across the U.S., Canada, and Puerto Rico who distribute Van Son’s exclusive “VS” Series inks and provide local support to high-speed commercial printers using the inks. The “VS” Series inks are comprised of Van Son’s Vs3, Vs4, and Vs5 Process and PANTONE product range. The Van Son “VS” Ink Council was formed to address the current and future printing ink needs and concerns of today’s quality conscious commercial printer. The two-day information-packed meeting will include presentations by Van Son’s management team, in-depth product information, technical solutions, business opportunities and networking.
“It is always exciting to bring this dynamic group of Printing Ink Manufacturers together to examine ink related opportunities that will improve the quality of print and make the job of the printer easier,” said Joseph Bendowski, president and general manager of Van Son. “We are very proud of our “VS” series products, which have proven to be far ahead of anything on the market today when it comes to commercial four-color process ink. Meeting with our Ink Council allows us to share experiences with the “VS” series inks and its successes, as well as discuss future trends in the ink industry—with the goal of always staying ahead of the curve in printing ink technology.”
Van Son introduced its “VS” Series inks in 2004 to answer large commercial printers’ demand for features like faster make-ready, higher pigment concentrations, low water pick-up, reduced plate wear and 4/4 perfecting capability. The “VS” Series optimizes the potential of today’s faster and more streamlined production systems. In keeping with its historical business model, Van Son is distributing the VS3, VS4 and VS5 Series inks through strategically chosen local printing ink manufacturers to ensure users have the level of technical and product support required to keep bigger presses running smoothly. Additionally, it provides for fast local delivery of all PANTONE and custom mixed colors.
