PagePath and Printer's Plus Announce Joint Effort on Order Management System for Print Providers
Press release from the issuing company
Las Vegas, NV July 15, 2005: Printer's Plus and PagePath Technologies, Inc. today announced their intention to develop inter-operational order management systems for print shops. The agreement was reached during the national convention for the ICED group of printing franchises (Kwik Kopy, Kwik Kopy Business Centers, Franklin's, The Ink Well, American Wholesale Thermographer, and Copy Club).
The Printer's Plus software is a business management solution used by print shops to estimate, process, schedule, and invoice orders. The MyOrderDesk system from PagePath is used by print shops to receive and process orders via an Internet storefront.
"We rely on continuous input from experts within the industry - our customers. They are telling us they need a simple way to re-use orders from the Web without hand entering the data. Working with PagePath, we believe we can provide a solution," remarked Julianne Finley, president of Printer's Plus.
Since 1983, Printer's Plus has been at the forefront of business management software for printers. The system encompasses estimating, sales processing, scheduling, analysis, and general ledger activities. With a continuing focus on providing the most advanced products available for the printing industry, the firm has delivered a system that is unrivaled for performance, features, ease of use, and set-up.
"Print shops need their systems to work together. That's why PagePath started the Workflow Alliance, a group of printing industry vendors, in early 1997 to provide advanced workflow solutions to print shops. Early members included Xerox, Scitex, InfoNet and Indigo. We continue to move forward with this and believe there is an opportunity for the MyOrderDesk and Printer's Plus systems to work together," commented Greg Witek, president of PagePath.
PagePath's MyOrderDesk is a private-branded solution added to a printing organization's existing Website or used in a Website supplied by PagePath. With MyOrderDesk, a print shop can provide its customers with time savings and convenient 24x7 ordering while the print shop enjoys increased production efficiency, reduced turnaround times, and increased profitability.
PagePath Technologies, Inc. was founded in 1983 with its "Silicon Prairie" headquarters in Plano, Illinois. The firm pioneered the use of the Internet to place orders and transmit documents with an easy to use "point & click" system in 1996. MyOrderDesk was twice named "Product of the Year" by PrintImage International & "Best of Breed" by Xerox.
