PODi Announces 2006 Dates for Applications Forum

Press release from the issuing company

Rochester, NY - JUNE 28, 2005 - PODi, the Digital Printing Initiative, today announced that the 2006 PODi Applications Forum will be held February 27 - March 1 at the Las Vegas Hilton. One of the industry's most respected conferences for printing professionals, the 2006 conference will continue the tradition of exclusive, educational focus on the issues and trends impacting today's digital printing marketplace. As an educational forum dedicated to digital printing, the forum guarantees a highly focused agenda, so attendees can make the most of their time without the distractions of a large trade show environment. The three-day PODi Applications Forum is an excellent balance of business strategy, technology, real world results, and productive networking opportunities. "The 2006 PODi Applications Forum is the premier educational forum for digital printing professionals," notes Rab Govil, president of PODi. "This popular event focuses on the business and technical issues involved in digital printing, including the latest sales and marketing methodologies, and production and workflow technologies. As a result, attendees come away with actionable information that they can use to drive greater business success." Already key elements are coming together for the 2006 event. Attendees and vendors can expect new tracks, sessions and more sponsorship opportunities. The 2005 PODi Applications Forum was a record-breaking event, with over 400 digital print professionals attending from around the world, almost double 2004's attendance. The audience was a unique group of printing professionals, management gurus and technology experts representing over 280 industry-leading, technology-driven companies. Over 97 percent of pre-conference intensive attendees and 91 percent of conference attendees said their expectations were met or exceeded, and over 95 percent of those surveyed would attend the Applications Forum again. The annual PODi Applications Forum is also noted for the PODi Best Practices awards recognizing organizations whose digital print-on-demand strategies are best in class. At last year's event, Walt Disney Parks and Resorts won in the direct mail category, and Washington State Department of Printing was recognized for its outstanding collateral management solution.
