IKON Appoints Mark Coyle Area Vice President, Southern California

Press release from the issuing company

LOS ANGELES--June 28, 2005-- IKON Office Solutions, the world's largest independent channel for document management systems and services, today announced the appointment of Mark Coyle, 41, to head its sales and service operations in the Southern California area, composed of Los Angeles and San Diego cities, as area vice president. Coyle brings approximately 20 years of document management experience to the position, and will lead more than 650 sales and services professionals in five offices across the area. Prior to his current assignment, Coyle served as director of sales for IKON's western region, encompassing 12 western states, plus Alaska and Hawaii. In that role, Coyle provided oversight to the region's sales strategy, including coverage, selling tactics, plan attainment and ongoing sales training and development. "In our business, the keys to successful leadership are a customer-centric approach and a strong ability to energize your team--two areas where Mark Coyle excels," said Brian D. Edwards, senior vice president of North American sales for IKON Office Solutions. "Mark has been successfully leading IKON teams for more than 10 years, and I am confident that he will help us achieve our goal of bringing document workflow efficiency to more customers in southern California." Coyle began his career in 1986 as a sales professional with A-Copy, which was later acquired by IKON. In 1993 he transitioned to a sales executive position selling on-site managed services for IKON. The following year, he was promoted to major account manager, and was subsequently named the head of sales for IKON's Southeast New England market. Throughout his tenure in IKON sales roles, Coyle earned numerous top sales awards, and his market earned IKON Marketplace of the Year distinctions. In 2002, Coyle was promoted to director of sales for IKON's northeast region, where he drove sales strategy for the region until being named director of sales for IKON's western region in 2003. "Southern California is home to many of the country's top businesses, and IKON is in a great position to help those companies streamline their document workflow, increase efficiency and lower document-related costs," said Coyle. "Our employees work hand-in-hand with customers to uncover their business needs and document challenges, and to develop document management solutions that meet their unique needs. Those solutions range from a networked multifunction product to a complex document workflow solution including the latest software and services. I'm looking forward to working with the Southern California team, as we work to help more businesses and organizations achieve their business goals through effective document management." Coyle graduated from St. Anselm College in New Hampshire with a Bachelor of Science degree.
