Agfa Wins Plate Contract from Largest Printer in Romania

Mortsel, Belgium – 10 June 2005 – Agfa announced today that it has won a plate contract from the largest printer in Romania, Infopress. The deal will supply Infopress' newly installed CtP system with 85,000 square metres of Agfa's :Thermostar P970 plates per year. "We chose Agfa's plates because we trust the quality and durability that they can provide to meet our magazine and commercial requirements," said Janos Ban, purchasing manager at Infopress. "It's also comforting to know that Agfa's global service network will always be there to help support our business, even if our workflow needs change in the future." Infopress, a manufacturer of high-end commercial print and colour magazines, has been modernising its facilities for the past few years to maximise production and provide customers with faster turnaround times. Agfa's :Thermostar P970 plates will supply high-resolution results on Infopress' Screen CtP system. "Over the past few years we have greatly expanded our plate offerings," said Agfa's Theo De Keersmaecker, worldwide director of CtP. "Our wide assortment of CtP plates allows us to better serve customers such as Infopress, and provide them with the best match for their workflow and application needs."
