Creo Acquisition by Kodak Receives Approval in the U.S.

Press release from the issuing company

VANCOUVER, British Columbia--June 2, 2005-- Creo Inc. announced that it has received notice that the Antitrust Division of the United States Department of Justice (the "DoJ") has terminated its investigation of the proposed acquisition of Creo by Eastman Kodak Company and that early termination of the waiting period under the Hart-Scott-Rodino Antitrust Improvements Act of 1976 has been granted by the US Federal Trade Commission. This US regulatory clearance follows approvals by the Creo board and shareholders, as well as regulatory approvals in Canada, the European Union and Israel. Creo and Kodak continue to work toward obtaining regulatory approval in South Africa and final completion of the transaction. A response from the South African authority is expected on or before June 24, 2005. The transaction is expected to close shortly after the South African regulatory approval is obtained.
