May 23, 2005 -- The second Cerutti press has been commissioned at Polestar Sheffield and has produced its first commercial work – this weekend’s Night and Day supplement to the Mail on Sunday for Associated Newspapers. Stephen Clark, managing director of Polestar Sheffield, says: "The first press is performing beyond our expectations at this stage, and using what we have learnt during its start up process, we have every confidence that the second press will also provide the levels of productivity and quality we require on schedule." The third Cerutti press, which is due to be commissioned in July, is already well into its installation. Polestar Sheffield will have the production capacity for over 1.5 billion A4 pages per week.
