Emtex Acquires Option Software Systems Inc. to Provide End-to-End Document Production Management

Boca Raton FL, May 12, 2005— Emtex Software, the leading provider of document output management solutions, is pleased to announce that it has acquired, Option Software Systems Inc. a privately held Californian based company that specializes in state-of-the-art operations management, workflow and scheduling solutions to better and more efficiently manage high volume document production sites. Terms of the sale were not disclosed.
This acquisition broadens Emtex Software's portfolio of integrated output management solutions, adds valuable expertise and establishes a document production workflow framework which enables Emtex to continue to deliver higher value to its growing customer base. All of the solutions in the Option Software Suite, in particular, PROM and WorkFlow are designed to streamline information access and centralize operational control, maximizing productivity while reducing costs. PROM monitors the entire print environment and may be configured according to the unique business needs of an organization.
Adding Option Soft solutions to the Emtex portfolio places Emtex in a position to uniquely offer JDF/JMF compliant workflow solutions for POD, transactional, convergent and ADF environments enabling complete operations management, control and reporting through a single source. Through a tighter integration with Emtex’s VIP/VDE and FlexServer products, Emtex will offer a centralized, easy to use interface for managing, scheduling, and controlling the entire production workflow from a single vendor.
