Xerox Names Creo Strategic Software Partner of the Year: Second Year Running
Press release from the issuing company
Vancouver, BC Canada (April 11, 2005) – Creo Inc. is pleased to announce that – for the second year running – the company has been honored by Xerox Corporation with the title of Software Partner of the Year in the “strategic level” category by Xerox’s Production Systems Group. The announcement, made at the annual Xerox Business Partner Conference, held March 28-30 in Rochester, NY, acknowledges the notable contributions delivered to Xerox’s production printing and graphic arts business by the Creo team, as a reseller, and through its integrated workflow initiatives. The Creo team was also lauded by Xerox in 2003 for its outstanding partnership and business success.
Creo develops the Spire color servers that optimize the performance of Xerox’s DocuColor digital color presses, including the iGen3 Digital Production Press. The highly flexible Spire color server provides enhanced image and color quality, high-caliber print quality tools, and variable information printing capabilities for Xerox’s digital color presses. Creo also resells Xerox’s mid-range and entry-level production color digital presses in the United States.
“We feel tremendously honored that Xerox continues to recognize and acknowledge the value in our partnership,” said Ronen Cohen, Creo corporate vice president, Print On-Demand Group. “This award means a great deal to the entire Creo team and underscores the strength of our ongoing relationship with Xerox.”
“Color is a key initiative for Xerox, and we see a growth opportunity in the market for digital color printing. Creo Spire color servers integrate with Xerox digital devices and workflow solutions, while other Creo products such as Darwin and Preps software support personalized communications and book publishing applications,” said Mike Kucharski, vice president and general manager, Xerox Workflow Business Team. “Together with strategic partners like Creo, we're helping customers take advantage of the power of color in new areas that will increase their profits and build new business opportunities.”
