Oki Data and Objectif Lune Establish Marketing Alliance
Press release from the issuing company
MOUNT LAUREL, N.J., March 31 -- Oki Data Americas, Inc., a leading supplier of innovative printing products, services and solutions, today announced a marketing alliance with Objectif Lune, a leader in solutions for the efficient design and electronic distribution of transactional and variable content documents. The alliance will extend the breadth of healthcare solutions across the two companies' combined customer communities.
Oki Data will market a combined solution of PlanetPress(R) Suite with OKI(R) printers. PlanetPress Suite enables application design and workflow architecture to output documents to local and remote printers, email, archive and fax from nearly any host, or combination of hosts. The marketing alliance combines the capabilities of PlanetPress with selected Oki Data high performance digital color and monochrome printers.
The healthcare market can realize significant improvements to integrated healthcare delivery systems. For example, admissions departments can increase productivity by replacing multi-part forms with electronically stored documents to print real time, complete with data from the host. Medical records departments can save time by electronically distributing documents, avoiding courier transportation between locations. Nursing stations benefit from improved security and gain valuable space by eliminating pre-printed forms storage.
For integrated healthcare delivery systems, the Oki Data/Objectif Lune solution provides:
-- Easy customization of forms to meet the needs of healthcare customers, without the need to reprogram legacy data streams
-- Streamlining of processes wherever users access data
-- Storage of forms in digital format on OKI printers or Objectif Lune's PlanetPress Watch servers, reducing physical storage costs, inventory management and elimination of obsolete forms
-- Printing, faxing, emailing or archiving of data on demand, reducing distribution expenses and increasing workflow efficiencies
-- Greater protection of patient privacy with automated access and delivery of printed documents
"For more than 10 years, Objectif Lune has made it a priority to help our customers choose technologies that best meet their needs. It is in the spirit of that customized attention that we have collaborated with Oki Data, a company that shares our passion for individualized solutions," said Kelli Jones, U.S. Channel Marketing Manager for Objectif Lune. "Many customers in healthcare are not using their printing infrastructure to capacity, and equally many do not know there's a better way. With Oki Data, we're ready to show them how to get the most out of the quality, power and efficiency of our integrated printer and software solution."
Keith Shaw, Oki Data's Director of U.S. Industry Marketing added, "Our healthcare customers require flexible solutions that can adapt quickly to their changing requirements without having to change their existing data streams. With PlanetPress and OKI printers, we can address the needs of dynamic healthcare environments with a nimble, state-of-the-art solution designed to provide greater flexibility and superior performance, all for a lower total cost of ownership."
