Vertis Wins Silver Addy For Work On Creative Marketing Brochure
Press release from the issuing company
BALTIMORE Md. (March 22, 2005) – Vertis, the premier provider of targeted advertising, media, and marketing services, was honored with the Silver Award for its photography and imaging brochure at the ADDY Awards Show in Dallas. A team of five esteemed advertising judges recognized Vertis’ photography and imaging brochure as exceptional in the “Ad Industry Self-Promo” category.
“The project started as our 2004 Workbook national advertising campaign promoting our photography and imaging talent to advertising agencies, design and corporate marketers,” said Meredith Ott, vice president of creative services for Vertis. “Our goal was to develop a creative marketing piece that was an extension of this campaign and one that truly showcased our Vertis Studios as the strongest network of creative talent available in the industry.”
The finished 40-page brochure contained a combination of selections from Vertis Studio photographers and boutique illustrators, as well as independent artists who work exclusively with Vertis. The brochures were mailed to ad agencies, design firms, and clients with in-house agencies, and are also distributed to clients via the creative portfolio showings.
“The ADDY acknowledgment showcases the Vertis network of diverse talent and reaffirms our position of leadership in the industry,” says Melanie Spiegel, national director of photography for Vertis. “Being recognized for our self-promotion efforts in this arena is a spectacular achievement and a testament to the abilities and success of Vertis’ creative advertising efforts.”
The Silver Award received by Vertis at the Dallas ceremony automatically enters the company into the regional competition and could lead to national recognition. The Dallas Ad League is one of 200 member advertising clubs that conduct the awards under the American Advertising Federation, a not-for-profit industry association. The ADDY Awards is the world’s largest creative advertising competition with over 60,000 entries annually. They recognize all forms, sizes and levels of advertising across the world.
Vertis was also recently recognized by Fortune Magazine as one of “Americas Most Admired Companies. “
