KPG Releases Matchprint Virtual Partner

Press release from the issuing company

Norwalk, Connecticut, USA — Kodak Polychrome Graphics (KPG) announced today the availability of Matchprint Virtual Partner, a Matchprint Virtual Proofing solution that allows customers to leverage their existing digital asset management system and integrate SWOP-certified color accurate monitor proofing into their workflow. Matchprint Virtual Partner is a color accurate full resolution imaging and collaboration engine with an open programming interface that allows it to be embedded into any existing digital production solution, such as digital asset management systems, job tracking or workflow management applications. It includes all of the features required to drive an integrated monitor proofing workflow such as collaboration, annotations, secure proof approval, online densitometer and support for remote hard copy proofing. With Matchprint Virtual Partner, when customers log on to their web-based workflow from a Matchprint Virtual calibrated display they can immediately view, approve and mark up color proofs. Matchprint Virtual Partner works behind a third party application interface, providing users with application continuity while adding the capability of high resolution proofing and collaboration. “Monitor proofing improves efficiency by removing time, distance and hard copy proofs from the workflow,” said Rob Pipe, Business Director, Virtual Proofing, KPG. “Now, Matchprint Virtual Partner further increases this efficiency by integrating into customers’ existing workflows and web applications.” Matchprint Virtual Partner serves as the most recent solution in the Matchprint Virtual Proofing System line. The Matchprint Virtual Proofing System combines the convenience of RealTimeProof with the color and accuracy of the KPG Matchprint Virtual Proofing technology. Utilizing high-end flat panel displays, the Matchprint Virtual Proofing System simplifies installation requirements and enables personal proofing. The system combines one of five approved Matchprint Virtual – LCD monitors (the Eizo ColorEdge 21?, the Apple Cinema Display 20? (plastic), the New Apple Cinema Display 20?, the New Apple Cinema Display 23? or the Apple Cinema Display 30?) with Matchprint Virtual Proofing Monitor software, a Matchprint Virtual calibrator and the full suite of the RealTimeProof web-based proofing tools.
