(GIA) is partnering with Scanvec Amiable this spring to present a seminar designed to help Flexi users expand their color knowledge and RIP expertise. "MAXIMIZING FLEXI: Power User Seminar Tour" will be presented in 12 North American cities from May through June 2005. With a focus on digital printing, topics will include utilizing DesignCentral, maximizing workflow efficiency, and getting the best color possible.
Mark Rugen, long established as the premier Flexi expert, is now the newest agent with the GIA and will conduct each of the 1-day training sessions. With over 15 years of experience in the graphics and sign industry, Rugen is the only Scanvec Amiable certified Flexi trainer worldwide. If you have some Flexi experience, but need to make more out of all of its powerful features, this seminar is perfect for you. "Maximizing Flexi" is an intermediate to advanced level program designed to transform attendees into Flexi power users.
You will learn about overlooked Flexi features and all the new updates for version 7.6. We will show you how to optimize your digital print workflow for speed and productivity. You'll also learn advanced vinyl and contour cutting techniques and understand how to manage color from start to finish.
Finally, you'll be able to match monitor to print and match customer colors and vinyl specs. As Mark Rugen says, "Red is red, not orange." We will show you how to apply color profiles, whether using built-in and third-party media profiles or creating your own custom profiles with Color Profiler.
