CINCINNATI, April 22, 2008—xpedx has expanded and updated the Vector printing papers line to include a new premium multipurpose sheet and rolls for Xeikon presses.  
 
The expansion follows the recent addition of Green Seal-certified Vector Performance DI papers, and the company said more Vector products would be added in the coming year.
 
The newest premium additions to the Vector brand of coated and uncoated papers enable xpedx to provide customers with a wide range of coated and uncoated papers for offset and digital printing equipment under a single brand. Vector is available exclusively through xpedx North American distribution centers and its stores network.
 
The new papers are the high-bright, Sustainable Forestry Initiative-certified Vector Premium Multi Purpose papers and Vector Xeikon Rolls.  Vector is best known for its quality, value-priced copy paper but over the past three years, the brand has grown to include uncoated and coated sheets and rolls for all offset and digital printing equipment, including laser and inkjet equipment and DI presses.
 
“Vector has earned a reputation among users for consistently strong throughput performance and value pricing.  As we expand the Vector brand, the same runnability and jam-free performance that customers have come to expect from our copy papers now extends across all of our Vector products,” said Scott Harman, director of marketing for Business Imaging at xpedx.

The Vector line also includes Vector Multi Purpose, Vector Engineering Bond Rolls, Vector Coated DI, Vector Performance DI, Vector Computer Paper, Vector Laser Rolls, Vector Copier Tabs and Vector Laser Cuts.
 
Details on the two new Vector papers

The new Vector Premium Multi Purpose is engineered for top performance on laser and inkjet printers and high-speed copiers.  The new SFI-certified paper is a 20-lb., 96-bright sheet and provides a blue-white shade with excellent opacity.
 
It is available in four standard sizes 8.5”x11”, 8.5”x14”, 11”x17” and 8.5”x11” three hole punch.  xpedx will begin taking orders in May 2008 and will start shipping in June. The Vector Premium Multi Purpose paper will be available for quick delivery at all xpedx U.S. locations.
 
The Xeikon-scripted and approved Vector Xeikon Rolls are manufactured to offer top print quality, high-dimensional stability and excellent performance on Xeikon presses.  The result is sharp, detailed reproduction and perfect color balance.  
 
They are available in gloss- and matte-coated, coated board, premium uncoated and uncoated opaque rolls.  They are ideal for a variety of applications including transpromotional and high-impact direct mail printing.  The rolls come in 12.6” and 19.7” widths and sizes are optimized to reduce waste during the production cycle.
 
The Vector Xeikon Rolls are currently available for quick distribution from xpedx facilities nationwide.
